On September 15, the police of Song Cau Ward (Dak Lak Province) announced that authorities had arrested two foreign nationals in connection with the theft of gold from a local jewelry shop earlier that morning.
According to initial reports, at approximately 7:10 a.m. on September 15, two individuals—a man and a woman—entered the Tien Vien private gold business (located in Long Binh Dong Residential Group, Song Cau Ward, and owned by Mr. M.T.V.) to inquire about purchasing gold.At the scene, the male suspect engaged the shop owner in conversation. Meanwhile, the female suspect surreptitiously approached the gold display cabinet, unlocked it (using a key that had been left in the lock), and stole three gold bangles with a total value of 208 million VND.
Upon discovering the theft, the owner raised the alarm, causing the female suspect to drop the stolen gold right next to the cabinet. The pair then quickly fled in a car bearing license plate 79A-48180, which was parked across the street.
At approximately 8:00 AM that same day, the suspects were apprehended by authorities while traveling along National Highway 1D in Gia Lai Province.
The case has been transferred to the Criminal Police Department of the Dak Lak Provincial Police for further investigation and legal processing.
