The Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued a decision imposing definitive anti-dumping duties on certain ceramic tile products originating from India—ranging from 5.55% to 45.30%—to protect the domestic industry from potential injury caused by dumped imports.

On September 7, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 2174/QĐ-BCT regarding the imposition of definitive anti-dumping duties on specific ceramic tile products originating from the Republic of India.

Under the decision, the definitive anti-dumping duty rates applicable to the investigated goods imported from India range from 5.55% to 45.30%, depending on the specific manufacturing or exporting enterprise.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) stated that, during the investigation and in accordance with the Law on Foreign Trade Management, it collaborated with relevant agencies to thoroughly assess the impact of dumped imports on the domestic manufacturing industry, as well as the extent of dumping by Indian manufacturers and exporters.

The final investigation conclusion determined that there were sufficient grounds to impose anti-dumping measures.

Specifically, the investigating authority concluded that dumping was occurring with respect to ceramic tiles imported from India; there was clear evidence of a threat of material injury to the domestic manufacturing industry; and dumping was identified as the primary cause of this threat.

Accordingly, the MoIT decided to impose definitive anti-dumping duties on certain ceramic tile products originating from the Republic of India.

The anti-dumping duty rates applicable to these ceramic tile products from India may be reviewed and adjusted upon receipt of requests from interested parties in accordance with the law, ensuring that the measures are applied to the appropriate products and at the correct levels for a reasonable duration.
